FAQ
DJ

Why should we use your service?

We feel that with our experience we are the best choice for your DJ entertainment.
Our DJ's are focused on exceeding your expectations and making your evening memorable and hassle free.
We also help you to customize your entire event.
We listen to your requirements and follow through with your requests.
Our DJ's, managers, and company as a whole are more than willing to accommodate you in whatever way we can.

Do you take requests?

Certainly! We make it a point.
We use your event planning material and your personal request list as the basis of any event,
but we are always more than willing to take guests requests.
Taking requests from guests allows the crowd more interaction
and ultimately will lead to your crowd participating more.
We also will also make sure to refrain from playing certain songs you may not like.

Can we bring our own music to the event?

You are more than welcome to bring your own music.
In fact, we encourage that.
Mobile Express Djs has a huge music database with access to almost every song ever recorded.
We subscribe to a monthly recording company that provides us with all the latest music.
Even given that, most of our clients prefer to bring some type of music.

How do we reserve Mobile Express DJs?

Simply fill out and send in the entertainment contract and 25% deposit.
Mobile Express Djs will sign and copy your contract.
We then mail you a copy of the contract and a confirmation event letter.

How many songs can you play in an evening?

A good rule of thumb is 15 - 18 songs per hour.
A typical 4 hour dance would accommodate between 60 - 70 songs.

What if some of my songs are not in your music database?

No problem. Just let our office or your DJ know and we will do our best to obtain a copy of your music.

Do I have to provide a meal for my DJ?

We do ask that you either provide the DJ a meal or inform him ahead of time so he can pack a meal.
Remember, your DJ is setting up hours before you arrive at the facility
and they are tearing down equipment hours after you leave.
Meals are very nice gesture seeing that your DJ could be at your reception facility for over 10 hours.

Can we meet with the actual DJ before booking?

Sure you can meet with the DJ before you hire us!
We, too, have heard horror stories from people who went to see a DJ they liked
and then got a completely different and horrible DJ at their event.
Fortunately, all of Mobile Express Djs's are dedicated professionals with years of experience.
We want to continue being in business for a long time to come.
So you never have to worry about getting someone else, that is not good business.
We want you to be happy from start to finish.
We also would like you to refer us to you family, friends and co-workers.

Do you require a deposit and when is the final payment due?

We require a 25% deposit and signed agreement to reserve your date.
The final payment of the remaining balance for weddings is due 15 days prior to your event
date unless Mobile Express DJs agrees other wise.
We will gladly accept a credit card, check, or cash.

When should we book?

The sooner the better!
Some of the most popular dates can and do book as early as one year to two years in advance.
We suggest to be prepared to book a DJ for a wedding early as 8-12 months before.
Depending on availability some dates remain open until the month before.
So if you're planning an event in the next few months you should check our availability online.
If you're just starting your planning, try to make your final decision as soon as possible to ensure our availability.

Are your rates negotiable

Our rates are based on our cost of doing business as well as the value we place on each event.
We take all events seriously and attend to each in a professional manner.
We're not the cheapest around. We're certainly not the most expensive.
But when you consider what you get for the money;
the talent, the experience, the quality, the reliability,
the extras we throw in, you quickly see the high value you get.
You get a lot for your money! We're confident you will find our prices to be very competitive.
If our prices are a bit more than you planned on spending,
please remember the old saying "you get what you pay for."
When you book Mobile Express Djs services you're not only paying for great entertainment services,
you're paying for peace of mind.

Do I tip the DJ?

Clients often ask us, whether or not they should TIP their Disk Jockey and what the appropriate amount is.
We feel that your gratuity is in no way mandatory and you should expect your entertainer to do a good job.
When appropriate, gratuities should be paid directly to the Disk Jockey.

Additional Information

Here are some important points to remember when you interview a DJ company.
When you plan a party of any sort, your objective is to ensure that your guests have a good time.
Your choice of entertainment, particularly if you are considering a DJ, is crucial.
Who you choose to provide entertainment at your wedding reception
or special event will have a greater degree of effect than any other factor.
This includes such things as food, location, photographer, etc.
After all, the entertainment portion of your event is considered to be responsible for 80% (or more) of the events success. Think about it.
When was the last time you left an event saying "That party was wonderful! The entertainment was terrible, but the prime rib was terrific!"
You see, the DJ you choose is critical and is a direct reflection on you.
